Secondary Loan Trading

Members of our firm have been among the pioneers of the secondary  loan market from its inception. Over two decades later,  Esbin & Feinmesser PLLC remains a leading voice in the industry, having negotiated and  documented a vast array of transactions. Our attorneys have substantial  expertise in the trading conventions of both the Loan Syndications and  Trading Association, Inc. (“LSTA”) and the Loan Marketing Association  (“LMA”), as well as numerous complex transactions requiring legal  solutions beyond the scope of the LSTA’s and LMA’s domain. As a long  standing, active member of the LSTA, we are often involved in  discussions regarding significant domestic market issues, including  through our service on numerous committees and working groups engaged in  formulating and updating standard trading documentation.

In the course of our work, we are often called upon to advise  and guide clients at all levels of their secondary loan trading  business: whether developing pre-trading strategies, navigating  difficult legal and business issues surrounding credit facility and  transaction-based issues, providing “on-call” responsiveness to trading,  operational and compliance issues, assisting with systems to track and  monitor inventory or providing in-house training and seminars for  in-house counsel, analysts, traders and closing personnel.
